Docks and location
The Royal Docks comprise four historic shipping quays on the north bank of the Thames: Victoria Dock, Royal Albert Dock, King George V Dock and Pontoon Dock, located just east of Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs.
Business opportunities
Chinese business district development company ABP (Asian Business Port) has chosen Royal Docks for its landmark UK project. The new Business Port is expected to attract many Asian companies who will use it as their European base and generate huge economic growth. The Business Port will include not just office space but also residential and retail units, all of which will make Royal Docks a highly desirable location to live and work.
Already, Royal Docks is the home of the ExCel business exhibition centre, which has contributed a great deal towards the area’s economy, while the O2 concert and conference venue is sited just across the river.

The Asian Business Port will include residential property and flats, but there are many other developments underway in the area. Royal Victoria Dock is eagerly anticipating the UK’s first “floating village” while more conventional residential developments are planned for Pontoon Dock and the Royal Albert Basin. Thanks to the Docklands Light Railway station at Pontoon Dock, it’s easy to access the Canary Wharf, Docklands and the City.

You can visit the Siemens Crystal building, a living example of green design, or follow the sculpture trail that starts at the O2 and includes works by Martin Creed, Eduardo Paolozzi, Sterling Ruby and James Balmforth.
You can even take the Emirates cable car across the river to Greenwich, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to the National Maritime Museum.
